American Black Bear Hunting at Pakwash Lake Camp starts before you climb into the stand. Pack your binoculars, compound bow, crossbow, or black powder muzzleloader, load your backpack, and head north to our hunting resort in Ear Falls, ON, for a hunt you will remember. Do not forget a Thermacell for mosquitoes and a camera or GoPro to record a father and son, or father and daughter, black bear adventure. Ladder stands are still the most dependable configuration.

Pakwash Lake Camp is in the boreal wilderness and has pre-baited black bear sites. We also have an affordable family holiday package. Book an archery or black powder week and mix time in the stand with evenings around the fire or fishing. We charge hunting package rates for tagged hunters while extra guests pay fishing rates, and kids seventeen and under stay free.

Bring an old hunting license, and we can help you obtain the required Non-Resident Bear Hunting License, approximately $235, plus an export permit of $45 for successful hunters. After the hunt, you may also go fishing on Pakwash Lake for walleye and northern pike.

Once the hunt is over enjoy some great fishing on Pakwash Lake.

Guest With Deer After Successful HuntMoose Country, Real Cabins, Real Ontario Fall Hunts Waiting

Our Ontario resident hunters return often because the country around Pakwash feels made for moose, deer, and small game seasons. We sit in the Ministry of Natural Resources Management Unit 003, with easy access to neighbouring Unit 004. There were lakes, rivers, swamps, beaver ponds, logging roads, and new cuts all around. Our cabin rentals for hunting in Ear Falls, ON are highly requested during these weeks, so it pays to book early. We charge standard weekly cabin rates for hunting parties and provide a sturdy meat pole on site for hanging game. Many guests use local butchers to cut, wrap, and freeze meat, while others haul quarters home to process later with friends and family.

Our Ontario resident moose season runs from Friday to Friday, giving crews a full week to scout, call, and hunt together. Extra days before the opener are billed at a daily rate, and booking two weeks means you pay the full second week. Running water can freeze during cold snaps and is not always guaranteed. Moose and deer tags or licenses are your responsibility, though we can reprint documents at the office if you forget them. Bring towels and a comfortable sleeping bag.
